More of Aunt Firma's Paintings

Here are pictures of two really nice little paintings (9 1/2 x 7 1/2) by Firma Phillips on ebay over Christmas - from a seller in Springfield, Illinois. I wanted to bid on them myself, but didn't really have the money.

Today, as a gift for my wife, I acquired a painting by Firma Phillips. The handwritten provenance, from the original purchaser, states:

"Bought Oct 1962 at Covered Bridge Fair, Rockville - Ind. artist lived at Kingmand Ind Rt..." (concludes with the directions to her home).

This colorful work of a covered bridge, in great condition, had found its way to an antique store in central Arkansas.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for this website!

Last evening we removed the work from the old frame, placed it on a tabletop easel and had photos taken that include the provenance.

Will email these to you shortly.

It would be wonderful if one day all of her works were located and cataloged.

My apology for the delay. The first shot was not satisfactory. We had the painting photographed again this past Sunday and should have it to you shortly.

I aquired one of Firma's paintings today. From what I've read, the size and framing was fairly typical....about 24" tall by 30" wide...in an ornate gold frame. I'd be curious to know about when it was painted. It's a wooded outdoor scene with a creek running through it...signed with her full name in the bottom right corner. Any catalog of what was painted when?
